Haaaa, interesting but full of pucky if you ask me.

Sounds like someone just took the sounds from War of Worlds, and upped the volume.

Well I stand corrected, here are two small articles. One has a brief explanation of what might be causing these strange sounds, and the second is a more general report with links to other news agencies, and etc.

Final Result: Until it happens to me personally, I have to go with this being a Hoax. Pretty cool all the same though.
