Bought Game Today and Need Help

Hello, the demo was fantastic so I bought my activation code today and have attempted the first two Gettysburg scenarios. My question is, I keep losing scenarios #2 even though I am moving the confederates out of their positions and holding the two objectives (woods and hill). Why is it saying defeat at the scenario close and rewarding me with 500-800 points? Am I not understanding what I am supposed to do in order to win?

This is the scenario where Reynolds gets killed.

You need to place yourself at the objective and stay within it's radius along with at least one regiment for as long as you can. You gain points quickly by holding an objective in this way. I suggest you go after the one in the woods. Don't worry about the other. Good luck.
