Downloaded 1.5 patch, it finished installing and I cranked up the game and main menu still shows version 1.4026. I did not deactivate first. Maybe I should try that?

Reinstall patch 1.4 first, and see if you can deactivate your game. Once you install patch 1.5 you no longer have the option to deactivate your game. Then reinstall patch 1.5.
Note: I haven't tried reverse patching yet, but it is something you could try.

I just noticed a new short cut on my desk top for SOW. When I use that the 1.5001 shows....

Do you have 2 SOW icons on your desktop now? The installer does not put the update into your current game if it is not in the default install folder. You have to copy and paste the individual files, (1.5001), to your current,(1.4026), game.

Wow..it didn't just patch what I had it put a whole new SOW game in my Matrix Games folder....I now have the game in two places. I wonder if I can move my mods and saved games over to the new 1.5 version game? Strange
Also, what happened to Anteitam and Pipe Creek that are already paid for? I registered them with Matrix.

If you just installed the patch, then the game won't actually play. It is missing some files. If you installed the updated 1.5 game, (downloaded it because you registered your SN), then you can move your mod folder, saved games, sowgb.ini file, etc to your new copy. You'll have to reinstall the expansion packs though.

My original game is just demo now. Are there any other files I need to move besides the three you mention? Also where to look for Anteitam and Pipe creek?

Thanks but I think I'm in good shape now. I have two versions on my computer. The old 1.4 version which is on the C drive is now a demo. The 1.5 version is in the Matrix folder and was plain venila with none of my previous downloaded stuff. I re downloaded Antietam and Pipe Creek from the members page at Matrix and copied and pasted my old Mods folder and Saved games folder into the new version. I haven't played a game yet but everything is showing up and I seem to be good to go.
This was about as stressful as Graviteam upgrade. :woohoo:
