Well I'm a bit bored at the moment so I am going to do a reverse patching of SOW to 1.4, and go through the paces, then reinstall 1.5 to see what sort of hiccups I come across.

I'll be back in a few minutes to tell you how it went.

Okay I did what I said, I reversed patched the game to 1.4, and when I was trying to install the latest patch, I came across the exact same problems that all the rest of you were having SO I created a video on how to edit your registry to get a fresh install of the latest patch.

Garnier was on the mark when he spoke of the registry entries causing the problem (Man that guy is smart).

I will show me installing 1.4, and the problems of installing the 1.5 patch, and how to overcome it.

I am preparing the video now, and will have it up in about 20 minutes.

The latest revised patch looks good Jim! I just tried installing it over patch version 1.5, and it allowed me to install it without a hitch.

Go with the revised patch guys... But with that said, I now have to see if this has messed up anything (I doubt it though).

Note: It's always good to remove old items from the registry before installing anything new. I was hoping that installing the revised version of the patch would go into the systems registry, and delete the required items before the actual install itself which it didn't do.

Looks good though.
