Are there any screenshots or video available of the new water graphics mentioned in the 1.5 Patch Readme file?

One Day the water graphics will look like that, the hard part will be trying to get the view distance to 10,000 like in the picture.

I don't think that anyone's graphics card can draw that many trees without burning up!

The improved water can be seen in Matt's Secessionville map and in the upcoming CV maps. We did not change any earlier maps.

Thanks for the information Jim. I do not own a copy of SOW but I have checked out the 1.4 Demo and am considering purchasing SOW along with Antietam and Pipe Creek. Seems to me that a good water graphic and realistic effects (fatigue, slow movement, etc..) would be particularly important for Antietam.

Where is the Secessionville map located and what are CV maps? So are you saying that SOW maps do not have updated water graphics?

I appreciate the info. Can the Chancellorsville Maps be downloaded in the Mods section as well? I did not seem them listed there.

No, Chancellorsville will be the next official release. It's not a mod.

So, if I understand this correctly the 1.5 Patch changelog is misleading and inaccurate. There are no maps in SOW Gettysburg, Antietam, or Pipe Creek that have enhanced water graphics. The only maps that do have an enhanced water graphic are the Seccesionville Map which is apparently a mod that must be downloaded, and the Chancellorsville Maps which are part of a new game that has not been released. Am I correct?

Full Changelog of v1.50 Below:

New Features

GFX_Obj_Stealth has been added to the gfx.csv to make possible invisible objectives in
scenario design.

Water has been enhanced in the game maps.

A new Replay system is now available. Players have the option to save Replay after ending
each battle. The Replays are available from the Single Player menu.

Couriers in MultiPlayer now find the quickest route to their destination, as they do in Single
Player. In the past, couriers in MultiPlayer would always use roads.

Saved games now include all mods in use instead of forcing to player to have to manually
enable each mod that was used.

In MultiPlayer, the enemy side is now hidden on the "Player Status" screen. This is the screen
invoked by clicking on the the player's star in the upper right of the MultiPlayer gamescreen.

Cavalry can now charge unlimbered artillery automatically when they get within a certain
distance.

Yep! Regarding the water statement...

However, as I learned while amid another culture while living in deep south Texas, it's just more like a simple misunderstanding. :woohoo:
