Hi folks ... Has anyone managed to win Chancellorsville scenario #2?

I fight like hell to hang on, then the rebs ultimately roll over Sykes' division like a tsunami. I've had my butt kicked three times! Fun though.

Tips anyone?

Fall back (in an orderly fashion) to the second OBJ at @ the 30 minute mark. Have a MV myself of 4943.

Thanks Mad One.

I didn't realize there was a second objective. The heavily wooded terrain sure makes command and control a challenge. Great scenario.

Regards, CJ.

Thanks Mad One.

I didn't realize there was a second objective. .
C.J. do take into mind that there are variants to this scenario. In most cases once you've fallen back, the Rebs come at you hard. You're going to have to spread your command out on the left and the right of the turnpike. It's good ground for a defensive posture.

Place one Battery on the outside of the tree line on your left and the other Battery right on the road where it crests at the front of the OBJ.

The Rebs will probably breach your left flank, so set your left Brigade up in line with reserve (the reserve will more than likely have to be used for the far left flank of said line).

Keep the Suave Irregulars on top of the OBJ with their Commander. This way you'll have the Regulars up front on both sides to take the brunt of the attack.

Good luck and good fighting. :)
