Scourge of War Boards

I was looking over the Salem Church map, I believe, and I was looking at Fredericksburg and wishing that it was a little bigger to the south. A little more to the south and we could make scenarios for the Battle of Fredericksburg. As is now, only the Marie's Heights portion of the battle can be modeled.

The map as is is completely acceptable for the Chancellorsville battle, but why not go a little further? That way we could also have Fredericksburg. Does Norbsoft intend to sell all major battles as expansions? If so, what time table are we looking at? I'm sure someone on the team pushed for a more complete map of Fredericksburg, so who was it and who was the guy who shot him down???????

I do like the Chancellorsville expansion it is a nice job with the maps and the scenarios that I have played are good also.

The positioning of the SC map is where it is provides for the best coverage of all of the various actions of the Sixth Corps in May of 1863. For an adequate coverage of the actions of Dec 1862 around Fredericksburg, we would need a separate map to go a couple of miles farther down river. As we had more than enough to cover with the fighting in the Chancellorsville campaign, there was no compelling reason to add in the additional major battle.

I know norbsoft gives us a lot. I'm sure Norbsoft knows that it has a loyal following that supports all the expansions. It just would have been nice to have all of Fredericksburg battle map. If norbsofts intention was to link all the battles together then they would be that much closer and modders who do not have access to map making might have a battle to write scenarios for.

It seems like adding one more map to the south, an OOB and a scenario set would give NSD the option of a Fredericksburg add-on later. A small one maybe, but something saleable no doubt.
