Multiplayer problem

My wife wants to play so I set SOW up on her laptop. Runs just fine in single player. So we go for the multiplayer with me on my laptop. All goes well for the setup and connection until the end and she crashes out of the setup. Maybe I'm doing something wrong on setup but if so I'm missing it.

I'm on Win8 (game runs great after setting Win7 compatibility). I host and we're going direct IP connect.
She's on Win7 and all connections look good and she can select her general.
Loading looks good until the waiting for soldiers message then she crashes out of the game.

In the log I get this part near the bottom that may help:

09:00:00 PRESS SPACE BAR TO BEGIN

Do you have any mods installed on either computer, and if so have you tried turning them off?

In multiplayer, two computers in the same game cannot have the same registration code. This is a security measure. This feature has always been in place but may be more exposed under the Matrix registration code system.

Ah ha, it is the code problem then. Since it's just a test if I install a demo instead will it play then?

Yes, both computers would have to be running the demo to work with MP.

That's a bit much for a test. Another thought, if we had a 2nd license would we need a 2nd for each of the add ons too? Pipe Creek, Antietem

Yes. Although we did away with DRM, there are still reg code checks during MP etc.. Every product installed must have its own serial key.

Your problem is unrelated to Jeff's problem from this thread. :)
