RETURN TO CUMBERLAND GAP: A HITS Meets GCM Game

The latest in Scourge of War multi-player is a series of individual games, open to everyone, that marries the best of HITS & Couriers with the unique capabilities of Garnier’s Campaign Mod (GCM). The challenges of Civil War battlefield command come to life in these “HG” games as players match tactics from the saddle against real opponents – all on GCM’s outstanding new Random Variant Maps.

If you enjoy HITs and want the grand multi-player experience, don’t miss “Return to Cumberland Gap” – the next in the “HG” game series. For date & time, complete rules and instructions, player sign-up, checklists and FYI’s, click on the GCM forum (http://forums.sowmp.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=378) or the Kriegspiel HITS forum http://forum.kriegsspiel.org.uk/t585-re ... ame-3#5107. Muster up!

We need more players. I promise you will enjoy the game. We've played two HITS/GCM games so far, and in my opinion, they've been a great success.

We are all playing for the enjoyment of the game. The game yesterday was epic: http://www.sowmp.com/gcm/battles/battle/13649. (Flashman and MTG led the respective sides but didn't control any combat troops.) Flanking moves on opposite ends. Mitra and I hit the Yank right hard and destroyed Mr. Jones' poor boys left hanging in the wind. But the early success proved our downfall, we became caught in a bloodlust. My dander was already way up when I received a courier from Palmer expressing his regret that his division was being flanked and overrun on our right by several Yank divisions. There was a big hill between us. And on the ridge, Robinson and Sharpe waited for us. And come we did, without reservation. The ensuing battle raged fierce for almost a half hour. Mitra and JB Hood and I gallantry tried to break the Union line. In the end, all we received for our efforts was blood.

The next one should be the best yet. So come join us, please.

I'm not sure why that link won't work but you can go to:

http://www.sowmp.com/gcm

and hit the Battles tab and then look at battle 13649.
