Create your own Radio Station on The Internet.

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

Create your own Radio Station on The Internet.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Okay, I was watching a video on Yotube which is something I often do, and something caught my eye, and that was "How to setup your own Radio Station" on the internet so I moseyed on over, and too a gander... Worst damn thing to come along since those damn chocolate Cadbury Easter eggs (When they first came out they cost only 25 cents), and I can't stop eating those damn things no matter how hard I try.

Okay back to this damn radio station thingy. I have it all setup, and I am broadcasting but I need someone who can give a small listen, and report back.

Here are the links I have seen so far...

Your listeners can access your radio at :

Link: Debert Nova Scotia radio 109 FM

NOTE: If you are using the bottom link, make sure that you are using Firefox because for some reason Chrome doesn't work all that well, it cuts out, and stops playing.

Now the music I am broadcasting will be from the 50's up to the late 90's. Also I will be broadcasting some old radio plays that some of you might remember. At the moment I have eight stories so far that I will be broadcasting from time to time. The first two are: A Trail to the West, and To Tough to Brand by Louis L'Amour.

Please let me know how this goes. Also for those who might be interested in this, you can send out any sort of audio, from have a talk radio show to broadcasting anything really right from your computer.

I know people would say just use teampseak, or skype etc... not so says the blind man, the software I am testing out is so much more cooler than that stuff.

Thanks ahead of time.

I am now working on SAM Broadcaster, and so far it is working out very well. The side effect of using this software is that it tries to get you too spend more money, money you don't have to spend.... SO I had to do some digging, and since Shoutcast is free I thought skip the default settings for SAM Broadcaster, and not get sucked into the giant 21st century milking machine...

I am now broadcasting via shout cast, and if you wish to know how to do it, then download the .pdf document I made.

Once I am done I will be posting a complete how to for you folks who think that this is a cool thing.

Okay folks, I messed up with my previous post on how to set up the codec for Sam broadcaster. I started to nice that the codec I was using to broadcast with was using 100 percent of my #2 cpu which really concerned the crap out of me, so I had to do some hunting, and as always it was staring me in the face.

Here is the proper way of setting it up. Now my cpu usage is minimal (8 percent) which is a very big relief... Anyway enough of my spittle...

Follow the instructions, they are so simple even I could follow them, and that says allot believe me.

Hmmmm, Kunena is not allowing me to upload a file. Very interesting. Anyhoo, visit the link above if you need to know how to do this.
