Random Maps for Napoleonic

Post by Garnier »

Download Pack A (3 maps, 18MB)

Download Pack B (12 maps, 70MB)

I made a variant on the random maps to make them more like Napoleonic battlefields. Basically, there are no stone walls, less woods, and no wooded mountains.

So it's mostly open fields. Instead of farms with American names there are "towns" (no buildings though) with names of German towns taken from this list.

At 2:00 CST, we're going to play a Hits/MP game on one of them.

Please, as many as are interested, come join us.

Last week's game was a blast.

Just finished a ?16 player Nap HITS MP game on the middle map.

The map was excellent and and just right for those rolling european landscapes IMO.

We played with no objectives, and initial deployments were far apart so there was much marching but once we made contact it was a hard fought fight, with much bloodshed.

Thanks Garnier for your time and effort.

A big thanks to the Kriegsspiel group for a great game :)

Great maps they fit perfectly with the European landscape. Now some talented individual needs to make some buildings to put on those European-ish named villages.

Hi Garnier,

Nice maps but I fear you are about to reap the whirlwind.

How about one with some Waterloo-sound-ish names.

Useful map appended to assist.

Spain, Italy ........ the list never ends.

G is not adding buildings deliberately so as to not having to deal with Packet files and slowing down the FPS. Same with fences.

So, any idea when we can get these maps for use in SP?

OH! DUH!!! Just saw the download link at the top. LOL!
