Greetings from across the pond........

Hi guys,

Thought it might be nice to say hello. Retired Brit now living in the Aquitaine in France. Embarassing number of years in Napoleonics starting with table top and the last 10 playing about with Total Wars mod by the Lordz. Came across SOW G purely by chance a couple of days ago and have to say very impressed. Stuck with TW because it seemed the best around for a Napoleonic mod but IMHO SOW is streets ahead. Not a techie but have produced OB's, scenarios and even campaigns for NTW all the way from NTW1-3. This type of thing........ http://www.mediafire.com/view/?vizh2e6066kihb5

Be a while before I'll be competent to try a Napoleonic game in SOW ( true what they say about old dogs...) but if I can be of any use in scenario design or research be more than happy to help. Aquired a useful amount of material over the years which I can throw into the hat. Nice thing about this part of the world is I get to spend time at a lot of places where the events took place. Particularly the Peninsula.

Best Regards,

falkonsix

Hello Falconsix,

I too am a recent convert from NTW3, although I have not participated in a multiplayer game, I look forward for the chance to play one. Looks like NTW3 Ver 3.0 will be out this Monday, but seems shallow without the courier system of SOW.

Hello Falconsix

You might remember me from NBC?, although while you were putting together your excellent scenarios for NTW3 I had already lost interest in the TW engine.

The Nap mod is just starting to take off MP and there is plenty of room for OOB/scenario designers of your experience :)

If you are interested in playing HITS (Headquarters In The Saddle) style then please check out our Kriegsspiel group.

We hope to be running regular MP Nap games soon. Typical games have 10-20 players with chain of command and couriers. Command anything from a brigade up.

:)

Nice to see some of the old NTW faces here. Managed to find the Wagram Mod and all installed and working. Pressing on with the ACW scenarios to get the hang of the system but be glad to try out a Kriegspiel MP Napoleonic if anyone has room for an SOW newbie. Maybe a vital command like baggage train guard detail or mobile latrine detachment so I can't actually lose the battle for my side through sheer ineptitude.

Time usually not a problem,

"Maybe a vital command like baggage train guard detail or mobile latrine detachment"

Please submit your application, with two good references.

Should you wish to join the Kriegsspiel ACW campaign Federal army, however, you will have to prove yourself trustworthy first for the former vacancy. General Georgia (aka MTG) values his loot too dearly, especially the fine silverware.

The latter job would be ideal for getting to know Lincoln's finest generals. During campaign games there is usually a substantial queue outside the block house. I believe a dedicated Teamspeak room has already been set up. ;)

Hah! There's a blast from the past!:). Glad to know you are still strapping on the old scabbard and having a go:)

Scourge of War (and its predecessors) blow TW away... You'll enjoy it quite a bit.

Well by the Great Blue Beard of Morkam Bey! How's life Mr A? You still dragging those nubile camp followers around dressed as hussars? You could be just the man to guide me through the mysteries of SOW MP. If you have a game coming up give me a shout. Remember I'm a Southern gentlemen at heart, I declare!
