They clearly left off the exhaust pipes for the diesel engines.

Assuming one of those 1st rates is the length of the Victory, I did a quick eyeball and stopwatch calc and they are doing about 20kts.

Definitely about 4x to 5x too fast then. I guess the game devs did this because to fight a battle at scale speeds would bore most people to death and they want a result in under a day! Its understandable. I hope the game includes realism sliders so you can reduce ship speeds, turning rates, increase loading times etc for a more realistic experience.

I appreciate people posting about this game. I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

I am really looking forward to its release.

I think it will have a nice pace for a Sunday morning with coffee.

Looks really nice. If the speeds and turns and loading could be slowed down it would be a winner for me.

I am actually a tester for this one so under an NDA currently.
What I can say is that based on the videos and screenshots released I like what I see so far.

Will there be speed sliders to adjust a battle to a more realistic pace for the die-hard realism fans among us?

These are the current Sea Trial ships for Naval Action.

For any of you old Sea Lords Virtual Fleet members, the website www.sealordsvf.org/ has been reactivated. There is a lot more activity, the RN is getting organized, we need the other navies to do so as well.

Regards,

Gibson

Looking good Gibson!

I'll take my carriage back to the admiralty and request a command. Sitting in my library poring over old charts on half pay is damnably tiresome don't ye know?
