Just wondered what 'Sprite Ratio' does? Default is 0 but do higher numbers increase quality in game?

It's the number of troops represented by one sprite. 0 is default - set to four men per sprite. You can play with 1, 2 or 3 and have more troops showing per unit, but there is a maximum number of sprites that can be shown for a unit although I can't remember off-hand what that figure is. Something tells me 120 give or take.
Or you can set it to 5 or higher, showing less sprites than the default resulting in a potential performance increase if your system is struggling.

Con,
Good try. It's 125 sprites per unit.

Dav,
Indeed you are correct, Sir. A Sprite is indeed a Unit in game terminology. Obviously to me a Unit is an element of combat.
