Which napoleonic mods are the best?

ok...maybe I went overboard, but now it seems I have too many Napoleonic mods! and I'm not sure which ones work best together, or work together even at all...so my question is, if you're really into the Napoleonic mods and were advising a friend, which exact mods (OOBs, MODS, toolbars, maps, etc.) would you have him/her install and "turn on"? (it seems I have too many now, so anything you list I probably already have or at least can find...if you have one that I might not be able to find that you like please point me in the right direction for finding it)...thanks!

Try here: Napoleon Mod
The Road To Wagram link is in post#6 and the KS mod is in post#1. Start with those two. Note: other toolbar mods and oobs will probably not work with them.

ok...do you play with both together, or either-or?

They go together. It's all explained in the post.

Second that.

Also RebBugler did some good work on a Nap Toolbar, which I believe can still be used with Road to Wagram 1.6, but I could be wrong??

At the Kriegsspiel group we have been playing and testing the KS mod in MP and are having some excellent games (often in co-op against the AI). The mod has also incorporated some of the better features of the RB's Nap Toolbar mod but has a whole load of extra stuff in there too.

The Scenario Generator can also be used for Nap games. Is A++ and we use it a lot.

You could also try out the Nap portrait mod (lite), which can be used with the WtR 1.6 but not yet with the KS nap mod. It is a WIP but will give a flavour of what is to come early new year.

i am ressurecting a pretty much old topic.

i had seen once in histwar les grognards,
a strategy based on napoleonic wars, a mod that
made possible to have a campaign very much like
cossacks 2 did! i think now that it may very well be
that the team that moded that used cossacks mechanics.

if i understand correctly  the new game will have
mechanics that will allow the campaign in a grand scale, featuring
north france, belgium?

also does anyone knows about this game?: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/487 ... .Campaigns
i read from reviews that it's pretty good.

Looking at the map accuracy I'd be doubtful about how much realism there is in that. Sussex is NOT west of the Solent, nor is 'Wessex' (wherever that was in 1805) east of it!

Its not difficult to get maps accurate - what else have they made silly errors on?

On the screenshots alone I'd avoid this, personally.

the problem with this, is that it doesn't feature
a grand campaign!

beside sussex being west of solent :) :) !

hoping to resolve the mini-map "time freezing" soon (smile), and if so:

- to play any of these NAP scenarios/mods MP, assuming i'm hosting the game, which exact mods/maps/etc would the other players need to have installed, if any (and activated if it's a mod)?

thanks!!
