Has anyone ever come across a regiment simulator? No battles or fancy graphics - kind of like a football manager simulator but for a regiment.

Hi Conor,
I just came across this interesting title:
My Little Pony: Cavalry Commander.
It sounds like a cool mix of tactical unit and strategic army management.

I've had a similar idea.. Sort of like fantasy football, but fantasy regiment.
I remember playing a facebook game years ago that was more/less a regiment simulator but it ended up being a bust, like most facebook games.

More like, we'll both be hearing from the NSD lawyer if we pursue the idea further.. Unless of course we release it under NSD..
Scourge Of War: Regiment Simulator. Now on IOS.. Cool!

Are you talking about recruiting, drilling, training, equipping, promoting, demoting, getting your subordinate officers to learn tactics and drill and so on to get your regiment to be the best in the army? Sounds like a fun sim to be honest.

Yep. Taking care of everything from punishment to promotion. You are under a general and he might get you slaughtered by posting you anywhere in the line. But you have no say in what battles you get involved in, and minimal control over the regiment once a battle starts (following the football manager idea). Controlling replacements after battle casualties or formation changes probably at most, and no fancy graphics, just battle highlights.

That's really a great idea imho. It doesn't even have a limit in appeal to wargamers, it would really appeal to any sim game fan.
