What exactly happens here?

Using the same Fredericksburg OOB with +/- 110K Union and 83K Good Guys, I selected Balanced Forces. Started the game, ran it a minute and ended the battle....110k Union, 83K Good Guys....No change?

If you are using the "Whole Army" on each side, the "Balanced Forces" button does not operate. Balanced Forces only works with Corps sized battles and below. If you are looking for a balanced battle, edit the OOB you want to use and get rid of some of those Damned Yankees.

I find lining the wall at the base of Marye's Heights does the trick.
