Scourge of War Boards

Sorry to ask a question that I know has been asked before, but...
I was playing a scenario in which I had the full external view options i.e. zoom in/out pan left/right/ etc. I saved the scenario and when I resumed it a few minutes later, the view was locked - from the "me" character's perspective. I remember reading that when the option "historical" is selected, it locks the view this way, but I checked and that option is not checked. Why else would the view suddenly become locked this way? It's also locked for all new scenarios I try........

You likely hit the 'F' key which glues you to the saddle. Should that be the case, just press it again. You can tell when this is the case because an 'F' will appear in the central part of the toolbar.
