Scourge of War Gettysburg - Need to Activate

Help! I bought SOW Gettysburg back in 2011 and really enjoyed playing the game. Recently got a new computer and have been unable to completely install and activate the game. Need a new activation code or something to activate Gettysburg. Also cannot play the Antietam game until Gettysburg is activated. Have registered at Matrix games and was unable to register my Antietam game but not Gettysburg. Am I stuck with on old game that I can do nothing with?

Would like to buy the Chancellorsville and future games but am hesitate if this continues to be an issue.

Help! Please advise what I need to do in simple, layman language. Thanks, appreciate it! :ohmy:

So you downloaded and installed the 1.61. patch and it's still asking for activation. Do you have the original code you received when you purchased it?

Still have the activation code I used to install game on my first computer. Tried the activation code but still unable to activate. When I used the CD to install game on new computer, it shows my game as being deactivated and that I need to email Norbsoftware. Have done so 2 or 3 times and not heard back. What am I missing? Am I doing the steps in the wrong order? What do I do from start to finish? Please advise. :ohmy: help!

Thanks for responding. Was able to the other day register my Antietam game I bought about a year or so ago. Tried to download Antietam to my new computer but said I needed the newer 1.61 Gettysburg patch you referred to before I could download Antietam. Tried to register my Gettysburg game but ran into a problem:

- The prompt asked for a serial number for the Gettysburg game. Unfortunately, I do not have a serial number in the (xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx) format but have the registration number with my older Gettysburg game (by older, I mean I bought Gettysburg in 2011).
- Believe the prompt said that downloads for older Gettysburg games (such as mine?) are not currently available.

Therefore, if I am correct, I cannot currently download the new Gettysburg patch to my older game on my new computer and also cannot download my Antietam game to my new computer?

If this is true, then am I stuck with 2 obsolete games and therefore, would have to buy a new game? I have tried to communicate with NorbSoftware and haven't got a response about this.

By the way, I have visited Little Powell's gravesite in Richmond and also had great uncles who fought in the 28th NC Regiment - Lane's Brigade - Hill's Divison.

I thought that the old reg codes would work with the new installers (part of the deal we made with Matrix). But if you're still having problems, you can contact Matrix support. They are usually quick to respond and can check your reg code and/or supply the correct one.

Sorry to hand you off, but we (NSD) don't handle the registration any more--that's all Matrix now. We just concentrate on making games..

Cool! I've never visited his grave (on my bucket list) but I did visit the spot he was killed.

Need to be careful when visiting his grave - in the middle of a busy intersection in Richmond (Labernum and Hermitage Roads). Believe he was originally buried in Hollywood Cemetery.
