I figured $40 at most.

Now I will have to rethink my need for this game.

Where are you seeing that price? It's $49.99 for the download version, which is pretty much your standard price for PC games these days of this magnitude.

Its £34-99 GBP. For a title of this size and importance that is positively cheap in the UK. £49-99 is commonly seen on many shooters and flight sims.

I understand, but all I can say is we did not take a vow of poverty when we signed up to make it. Waterloo represents over two years work of missed weekends, working through holidays, every evening after work.

This game will give you years of replay value.

The title of this topic is very misleading. I was like 'we get 65 per game!'. Although the money is needed, seems a little high. Maybe a modification to $65 Canadian would be more appropriate. At least you guys only have to buy one copy, I'm going to have to buy a bunch myself.

This is very true.

I was hovering over the buy button on Gettysburg for close to 6 months but didn't pull because I was unemployed and didn't really have the money. When I finally made the plunge on the 150th Edition I found it was worth every pence I paid for it, even if the price seemed a bit steep. I've spent a long time with the game and there is a lot I've barely touched yet. Pipe Creek for instance. And Brandy Station. And a ton of mod maps. And OOBs. And scenarios. And multiplayer.

Anyways, I don't think the new one is expensive considering that games cost and the amount of hours I forsee spending on it.
