I have to say that this game is quite superb. You have managed to capture the essence of Napoleonic warfare in a way that has not been done this realistically before.

There is just one small question I have: how effective is volley fire and when is it best to use it?

The effectiveness of volley fire is that the losses usually inflicted over a long time are inflicted in a short time, and this impact the morale drop. The major effect is obtained like for the normal fire at short distance and with highground bonus, but of course the skills' value of unit matter.

Thanks for the compliments. In relation to volley, Grog AI units will hold fire for longer to allow the enemy to close, increasing damage.
