Brunswick Corps

Hi NSD.

Was looking forward to playing with my favourite division from any of the 1815 armies but found you haven't made any proper sprites for it - only a single infantry sprite that is incorrect (it has coloured cuffs instead of a coloured collar).

I guess you ran out of sprite options and were unable to add in all the really great looking Brunswick uniform variants but would you be able to make these in a future patch?

On a similar subject might a future patch include the Empress Dragoon and Guard Chasseurs a Cheval?

Thanks.

Well they are in there (albeit I got the collars/cuffs wrong  ) but black Brunswick infantry are in and also a black generic hussar plus the infantry officer in black. It was as much as we can do.

Not sure about new sprites - if we add them in officially the game will crash and we can't release something that we know crashes the game. That said, as I did with the Russian Cuirassiers I made for the Kriegspeil group, I may be allowed to make new sprites to add as mods for download. I'll ask nicely and see what the powers that be say.

Yes, I think the hussar was made for the Prussians wasn't it? The Brunswick uniform was quite a lot different. I didn't see the officer sprite, just British red-coated generals leading all the brigades. Maybe its because it was my own sprite and I was playing in first person ;)

Additional sprites for mods would be fantastic!

I have details of all the uniform facings if you are able to use your layers technique.

Yes it is the Prussian Hussar but the closest we could get without making a new sprite - I'd like make more - Jagers plus the Duke of course. The officer is the foot not the mounted one.

Layers are possible on all troops but you add to the memory hit albeit less than a full uniform.

Layers definitely are a great idea, especially on something like the Brunswick infantry who have a basic similar uniform but about 6 different facing colours.

Please PM me Tim if you get the okay to take this further. I can supply all the uniform info.
