De Hugal Map odditty

There's a deep pond on the De Hugal map into which whole units march into and get submerged. They don't drown, just come out in the end exhausted! I recon this pond should be removed from the map.

There is supposed to be a boundary around ponds that will discourage units from entering it. I'll have to take a look, maybe I left one out by mistake. Can you tell me which pond it is by description or screenshot?

Hey
Little Powell,
Check out this screenshot that was posted in Waterloo Media Section-> Screenshot Thread. Maybe this is the pond in question?

It wasn't the same pond, but same effect. The pond I had was smaller next to a road near to a bridge. Sorry no screenshot, sandbox battles are placed at random & it'll take many restarts to be in that place again.

Ok I'll take a look. Keep in mind that I stated there is a boundary to "discourage" the units from entering the ponds, but it doesn't always work 100% of the time depending on the conditions, starting positions, etc. It's one area that can be improved.

we also saw this issue playing on the Huegel map last night. Had some issues with the ponds between Deborahs Kreuzung and Selstsame brucke. Units would submerge and their flags disappeared.

'tradgedy befell the second battalion of 54th Ligne when the makeshift schnorkel they were using to traverse the lake, fashioned from the hollowed out pole of the flag, became blocked by a particularly large frog'

The frog was named Marechal Ney.
BTW I have encountered this same problem on the pond in the south part of the Les Plaines map. In my case the pond was a deep brown hole with no water in - I presume it should have a water surface sheet on it?
I had two couriers trapped in an endless loop near the little wooden bridge on it's north edge in a recent game. They galloped around and around for several minutes before finally getting their horses to scramble out of the mud!
Some pics.

Saddletank - Maybe check your Map Objects Level or drawing distance.. That pond
does have a water surface.
