Kriegsspiel Matters

Gentlemen,
Thank you for your information regarding the SOWWL log file. Now that I know this, I won't waste your time until I have thoroughly investigated the problem myself and rechecked that I have not misunderstood the Kriegsspiel setup requirements. When all else fails refer to the manual again !!
I am not sure whether I should address queries about Kriegsspiel direct to their forum (now I have been accepted as a member) rather than clutter up the SOWWL forum. Kriegsspiel is after all no more than a mod, albeit a huge mod, to SOWWL. What is the preference ?
I think at first glance my problem centres around the use of the Consolidated Map Packs and whether I have embedded the downloaded files correctly into SOWWL. I will investigate over the weekend.
Having tried a brief venture into Kriegsspiel, I am not yet sure that the concept really matches my needs and abilities .... I am far from being a Saddletank, whom God preserve .... but early days and time will tell. It was the Map Packs that attracted me.
