Scourge of War Boards

This might be a stupid question but how do I stop my commanders riding in front of their units thus exposing themselves to enemy fire?

Commanders are immune to enemy fire, they'll only be killed if they ride VERY close to an enemy unit and are shot at point blank range or captured. You can only prevent this by TCing them and keeping them away but they you have to micromanage each brigade. That's do-able if you are only commanding a division but tricky if you're commanding a corps. The good news is dead officers are replaced after a while.

I have found cavalry to be very effective against commanders used some lancers to ride down a few enemy commanders in a battle =)
