.exe won't run

A new scenario/battle editor is in development and should be following hot on the heels of Waterloo - any questions can go here.

.exe won't run

Post by Saddletank »

I installed the SDK okay but double clicking the scenarioeditor.exe does nothing. I get an egg timer for 5 seconds then... that's it. I deleted and redownloaded it and checking with a friend the file sizes are correct. It looks like some other file permission is needed that I don't have.

Any ideas?

Possibly a .NET Framework issue. One of the testers of this app had to upgrade their OS before it would open. Which version I don't recall since I didn't have the issue, we'll have to wait on Pakfront for further info regarding this.

.NET 4.5 should do the job.

Thanks guys, I'll go grab it and report back.

EDIT: Yes, that fixed it, thanks. Net Framework 4.5 is needed for the scenario Generator to work.

Seems like You have a mod that is breaking the game. Try moving them to another folder and relaunching. If that works, send let is know what mods you have, exact spelling is important. Thanks.

Hi Pakfront

Same as Pom. Put all mods into a new folder and took it out of the game same problem. Is it a Windows 8 issue?
