The situation is a Cavalry v Cavalry battle in a Corps v Corps sandbox game. The combatants are

lieutenant-général baron Francois Antoine Lallemand,
1er Régiment de Chasseurs à Cheval de la Garde,
Division de Cavalerie Légère de la Garde.Reserve veterns

verses

Major Wilhelm August von Wulffen,
Westfälisches Landwehr-Kavallerie-Regiment,
2. Kavallerie Brigade.

Combat results were 515 French dead & 0 Prussian dead. How could this be? I've seen this happen a lot of times in the main battle of Waterloo scenario. This along with having to manually reload every single artillery battery are ruining the game for me. Is there anyway this can fixed & if there is, will it be in the forthcoming patch?

I would say that who they are doesn't count for very much. More important are numbers, tactical situation (ground, supports, etc) and morale/fatigue factors.

I think the Chasseurs outnumbered the Prussians, their morale was high & energetic & had 2 artillery battery's & another guard cavalry division as support.

In my opinion it would be absolutely impossible for two Cavalry division to clash without casualty's on both sides, especially a veteran guard division.

This might be the non combat bug again. You saw infantry not shooting didn't you? In the past I've seen troops not melee as well - they stand there and don't use the hand-to-hand combat animations, but I have only ever seen this affect infantry, never cavalry. I'd report this to Norb as a bug. Best to include a save game if you can get one.

Unfortunately the only save I've got is just after I noticed it happening.
