Hello.
Can somebody tell me, what a ridge between English line and grand battery now? It's build after battle or not? I don't see that ridge in game.

Can you please be more specific on the exact location on the map? Every ridge is there as it was in 1815. Some areas are more or less pronounced due to the limitations of the game engine, but it is the most accurate depiction of the Waterloo battlefield you'll find in a game.

This ridge, between grand battery and English line, i made Waterloo map for Histwar with satellite elevations and this ridge be on my map, but on old maps of that period you can't find it.

Do you use satellite elevations in your map?

Where is this photograph taken from? And what direction is it looking in? I'm guessing its somewhere to the east of Picton's division position looking generally south.

I've never seen that ridge before. It's not shown in this map which seems to be a fairly reliable survey with 2m contours.

Are you sure that rise was there in 1815?

First time I saw this ridge when I make satellite elevations for Waterloo map for Histwar game, we has discussion on Histwar forum, but nobody knows what is it. I think this ridge was poured after 1815.

I haven't read any accounts of the battle that mentions this rise. It seems to be between the sand pit and the farm but runs east. It looks quite high in your photo but I have a suspicion its modern.

I have another suspicion that in the D'Erlon's attack scenario, NSD have placed I Corps on the wrong ridge. They should be on the ridge that has the Belle Alliance to Smohain Road on it, not the one north of there.
