Scourge of War Boards

I note that an uncaptured objective marker colour can sometimes be gold instead of grey/silver. What's the difference? It's not mentioned in the manual. Edit - perhaps the colour denotes the difference between a hold and a waypoint objective?

The difference is between Major or Minor objectives. Is functional to the scenario maker in order to give evidence on the map to what is the primary objective of scenario.
