How To Host

Here's a guide for hosting typical GCM games, start to finish.
Log in to the GCM website and click Enter Battle Queue, then click Create Room
You'll now see a room with just you in it
You can use the dropdown list to add players, or wait for them to join by themselves
When the room has all players in it, click Host
-
Now go to your GCM Launcher, and click Launch Battle
Select the battle from the list
Click Standard (or 1v1 if you are playing 1v1, or custom to choose all settings yourself)
Set the game options and click OK
When it says "Battle ___ created", click Start Scourge of War
Click Multiplayer in the main menu
Click Enter Lobby
Click Create Room
Click Create Room
Wait until all players are in the room, then click Enter Staging Room
Wait until all players appear in the room on the left, then click Create a Scenario Game
Choose your battle number in the list and click Set Scenario
Back in the staging room, click Options
Make sure your options are set to these.
(when playing HITS, change the Max Camera Distance from You to be lower, and change Map Icons to Bare Map.)
(when playing on the random map, set Show Map Objects to Medium.)
Back in the staging room click Launch Game
Wait for all players to load
Fight the battle
When one side gives up, hit ESC on your keyboard and click End Battle. (if time runs out, this happens automatically)
Click Save Replay, then click Battle Details
Click Dump Game Database
Now close the Scourge of War game and go back to the GCM Launcher
Click Game -> Record Battle
Select the battle number and click Record. After this you'll choose which side won.
It should select the right gamedb file by default, so just click Open
After that, the game will be recorded on the website. That's all you have to do.
