Sandbox suggestion - unit arrival

Since so many people seem to play sandbox, and since it allows longer battles deviating from history, I have a suggestion to make for the new Sandbox mode:
What I never liked in TC2M or CWBR was that all units would immediately start in unit formations (army, corps line etc) on the map opposing each other, no matter what the terrain was or where the main roads where.
I'd like some option there, i.e units starting on opposite quadrants of the map, but either positioned/ or even fortified along certain lines (defender), or mostly placed in marching columns on the roads.
Also, and even more important, would be randomizing and stretching out the arrival of corps and divisions. At many battles it took a good day or even two until all units of large armies where on the field. And not knowing exactly when your reinforcements will show up, or your opponents, adds a lot of tension! It would be nice if some (player choice?) formations would arrive later (how much could also be player's choice), and would arrive at the road ends at the map edges.
And one question on top of that -- since it appears that the map size is now basically unlimited other than by computer resources, what are the chances that you could add a large Gettysburg Map, maybe even stretching to the Cavalry battlefield, to the game (much less detail, maybe not every building and fewer fences etc, but still capturing tatical terrain features such as hills, roads, railroad, etc)?
