multiplayer freeze

Hi chaps
we were having some issues with multiplayer freezes tonight, vanilla 1.01 using the mitra balanced oobs.
the only thing I can spot in my log ( I was hosting) is this group of errors at the start of each game:
08:00:00 Waiting for all soldiers to arrive on the battlefield...
08:00:51 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:00:51 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:02:03 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:02:03 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:14:58 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:14:58 Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3
08:22:20 <MULTI> disconnect notification.
08:22:20 <MULTI> connection lost.
Does this mean someone had a mod loaded?

No, its an OOB error on the host's computer. Somewhere in the OOB a division commander has a LVL3 formation instead of LVL4 which the game does not understand. Check column Q and make sure there is no entry that starts "DRIL_Lvl3_" if you see any, change the '3' to a '4'.

Thanks for the info Saddletank, I have checked the particular oob we used and the only units with DRIL_Lvl3 were corps and army commanders. The only other thing I can think of is one of the client players had also activated the si misura oob mod, not sure if that would have caused this conflict but I assume the oob coming from the host would be authoritative.

The game does not recognise LVL3 formations. These are a mistake in the OOB. Correct these to LVL4 and all will be well.
Always make sure that all players are using the same mods. Its just good practice to do MP that way. I think the Grog Toolbar can be used by some and not others but anything that affects gameplay differently from the host should be disabled.

Thanks again Saddle but I am confusiled.
The game does not recognise LVL4 formations. These are a mistake in the OOB. Correct these to LVL4 and all will be well.
Do I need to change 3 to 4 or 4 to 3?

Then the SDK has mistakes in it. They should all be LVL4 entries.

Formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN cannot support additional unit type:3 means that the formation DRIL_LVL4_INF_COLUMN used has not sufficient artillery slots for the all artillery batteries inside your division; if you have a divison formation with 2 batteries max and in reality your division has 3 you receive this. Is not a error which can generate desync, is more likely you had a Mods difference between players
