Federals reached the edge of town during the
Action at Romney Day 5 - Part II, but the losses were too heavy and both sides disengaged, but remain on the field. Fighting will likely resume on Day 6.

What's in a logo? The logo for
THE WINTER WAR command simulation focuses on a wartime photo of Romney. The section of Romney captured in the photograph corresponds to where part of Taliaferro's Brigade defended the town from Colonel Nathan Kimball's 1st Brigade in Day 5 of the simulation.
