A trip to Cowpens - Photos

There's been a little chatter about the American Revolution around here, so I thought I would post some pictures from Cowpens. This was the site of one of decisive battles that led to the end of the war.
This is the first time I really got to tour the field in depth. I was surprised how detailed the documented actions were. I'm used to Revolutionary War battlefield having general locations, but the waysides showed precise ridges, dips, etc. where the fighting occurred.
The Grasshopper - 3 lb canon used by the British (the Colonials captured one of them)

Looking towards the Scruggs house on the historic Green River Road which runs down the center of the battlefield.

Sorry for the poor quality--if you look close those are Wild Turkeys.
