New Map - Manassas 12 mile square 144 square miles

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Extending "MarkT" - Manassas Map - too an "18 Mile Map".

This has resulted in the largest battle to date with the "AI" pushing more than 130 Regiments into the battle.

Thirteen Miles are showing with about Ten-Miles of that which is active in some type of fighting.

Another loss battle on My part, but it is virtually impossible to defeat the union forces considering that they have a Army of 181,496 men vs My Army of 122,980 men.

The battle started approximately 1:00pm east of My starting position, by approximately 9:30pm My Army has suffered a little over 5000 casualties.

The Game Map shows approximately 13 Miles of the 18 miles available, with approx. 2 Miles to the North, and 3 Miles to the South, that doesn't appear on the map.

This sort of creates the presentation that the units are marching onto the battle map. If you are used to playing with the icons as I am, it also creates a blind spot.

The Green-Area - showing the part of the Map that doesn't appear on the In-Game-Map.

An 18 mile map....wow...Not fully understanding....Is the green part of the map useful? Meaning if you are writing a script can you enter troops from the green part perimeter coorinates? In Sandbox, would troop starting locations be in the green part? In any event...will this map be released at some point and can the map create memory game crash issue?

wow....an 18 mile map

Yes, the Green - Hi-Lighted part of the Map is 5 miles that just doesn't show up on the In-Game-Map, but is still Playable-In-Game.

No Script is needed the whole 18 Mile Map is in the Game!
It gives the appearance that the units are Marching onto the Map if the starting positions are in the North or the South as in the picture.

The Picture below is My Army starting in the Green-Area which is in the Southern Part of the Jump-Map.

I turned off the trees to give a better view of the area, as My four Divisions are lined up in two separate lines that extends at least 16 miles running from East to West.

The biggest Problem here is that this will probably not appeal to a lot of people due to the fact that the Game will only run in the single digits when using large armies.

I have always Played in the Single-Digits - so it works for Me.
