Greetings all,

Does any have some how-to instructions on making flags? I would like to try making some 14th and 20th/4th Corps flags for use with some custom OOBs I've made. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I started with a flag demo created with Paint.net and went from there. You can begin with simple flags like that then move to more involved stages as you learn. You'll have to search for that demo, I no longer have it available.

For me it was a long trial and error process to produce decent 8 frame flags, but great satisfaction along the way.

Other flag makers in this forum use Photoshop methods, they'll have to tune in to share that knowledge.

You have shown a flag project worth tackling, the pre-1863 USA Corps designation flags.

Once you have the flag created, how do you create the file the game pulls from? That's my biggest issue: knowing how to create the files/mod needed to get the flags to work in the game.

Check out B&F, flags are in Graphics/Flags, processed by the Logistics/gfx.csv file, and called by the OOBs.

I just wanted to take this space to say RebBugler, Jolly and all the other modders make the Gettysburg game fun to play even after all these years after being released. Reb's flags and Jolly's terrain make the game so much more immersible that I enjoy them no matter the results.

Edit: My apologies, I meant to post this in the Bugles & Flags XVII topic if a moderator could move it there I'd appreciate it.

Agreed! I really enjoy the B&F mod, though I haven't used any of the terrain mods yet.
