New Version of the KS Napoleon Mod Released

It's been awhile since anything has been posted here concerning the mod. It regularly updated, but this particular version, 1.27, may be of interest to some. Cavalry scouting patrols can now be created and will automatically go off to search for the enemy. When they are found, they will send back a detailed report to the division player/commander giving their location, the location of the enemy, its direction of movement and the size and composition of the force they see.
More information concerning how this works can be found in the Player's Manual which is included in the mod.

I have the older version of KS MOD and absolutely love it.

Question, could you possibly state what exactly we need to have the new version? I'm asking because I remember the older version required a certain sprite mod, a certain maps pack...etc. for it to function. I'm a complete layman when it comes to computer stuff so this information would be really help if you could list what we need and what we need to delete. A list with links would be super helpful.

I have scoured their forum but nothing is in a central location stating EXACTLY what is needed to run the new mod.

The mod is in three pieces, KS Napoleon Mod II 1.27, KS Sprites Mod 1.06 and KS Supplemental maps 1.18. All are required. You'll find download links in the first post of the thread titled, Set Up for SOWWL NAPOLEON GAMES For Kriegspiel style. It's the first thread in the Scourge of War section of the forum.

Yes you can delete the older version of the mod. Unless you're a hoarder, of course...

HI all

Will be posting some screenshots shortly for the recently updated KS mod. First will be the 1806 OOB showing some of the prussian contingents. I had hope to have included it with this post but I need to find a better filesharing site as the one I used didn't work. Shouldn't be too long.

Hi all
Some more screenshots from the KS mod which I hope you will enjoy. The first four screenshots are taken from a campaign game based on the 1809 campaign on the Danube. Initially a conflict between Lefebvre VII Corp who had come into contact with Hiller's Austrian Corps and as a result this was the force that I ended up with. I've chosen this battle to demonstrate how wide and varied the combinations of varying forces can be and how enjoyable it can make the game become.

The rest of the screenshots are from the Russia 1812 Order of Battle mainly from de Tolly's Corps. I've also highlighted some relatively new additions such as the Polish in the service of the French and some new cossacks and hussars. If you haven't already downloaded the KS mod I highly recommend it, mainly because it gives an opportunity to play many more nations and contingents.
