This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Antietam Graphics - new v2 by Jolly

Post by Jolly »

Version 2.0 May 2018

A new version of my graphical reworking of all the SOW Antietam Maps.
There are a lot of changes in this version - too numourious to actually remember them all !
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this new version - it's certainly different than the original.

This is the full pack - Antietam morning and afternoon maps and also the South Mountain maps to immerse yourself into!

IMPORTANT:
You will need to deselect the ChancellorsvilleGraphics_v2 Mod and the Chickamauga mod for this mod to work correctly, otherwise, I'm not sure why, but there are graphical conflicts with these mods enabled.

I'd love to hear some feedback on this - good, bad or ugly!

Hey Jolly! Loaded a clean install of GB and Antietam, updated to 1.61 and when I activate the v2 mod (Only one activated) a lot of the unit icons are wrong/block shaped. Eg burning house in Scen 1, smoke is blocky. Most inf icons above flags are just blocks. Any idea what I could have done wrong? Ta!!

solved: overly enthusiastic antivirus setting.

Thanks for the marvellous new look Jolly! Looking forward to bringing up the brigades.

Hey voltigeur

Are you running Windows 10 and if so, is your game running in compatibility mode?

See below thread :

Hope this helps

I think these maps are absolutely amazing, and thank so much for what must have been a massive task.

Just a quick vote of THANKS to Jolly, Rebbugler and others who have spent their time improving these classics. War has never looked so beautiful and immersive! Cheers

Thanks voltigeur!
I'm really glad you are playing the new Antietam maps - At the moment I'm on the AN15 (Beyond the lower bridge) scenario, a tough one for sure!

The in-game screen grab looks great - showing all the detail as intended.
My game grabs on the other hand never convey this regarding how it looks when playing, I just hit the 'print screen' key which is probably the reason they look a bit dull and lacking detail.

Cheers,
