SoWGB - Lace Wars Map Pack for Alessillo's Blenheim Mod

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

This map pack is intended for sandbox play with Alessillo's excellent Blenheim mod, which is still available via the SOWGB mod forum.

READ ME

To work with Alessillo's mod this map pack should sit below the Blenheim mod in the mod selection list.

PLEASE NOTE
The new maps have the prefix LW_ to differentiate between the new maps and the maps already included in Alessillo's mod. Alessillo's maps are based on conversions of SoWGB stock maps. Whilst Alessillo's mod contains some scenarios, these are based on the stock maps. Due to this, those scenarios do not work with the new maps.

CONTENTS

This pack includes

- LW_Blindheim (6 miles)
- LW_Ramillies (4.5 miles)
- LW_Luzzara (4.5 miles)
- LW_Schellenberg (3 miles)(the design of this map would work better with a scenario.)
- LW_Almansa (4.5 miles)
- the fictional LW_Fontheim (3 miles).
- the fictional LW_Lagos (4.5 miles).
- the fictional LW_Alsace (6 miles). Based on Biondo's La Souffel map
- the fictional LW_Freisung (6 miles)
- the fictional LW_Mittelberg (6 miles)
- the fictional LW_Eylau_Winter (6 miles) Based on Mark T's Eylau map
- the fictional LW_Eylau_Summer (6 miles)

DISCLAIMER

This mod has not been tested with mods other than Alessillo's Blenheim mod. Sorry but I won't be offering tech support for Alessillo's mod. From my own experience, it still works in the latest version of SoWGB.

SETTINGS
Recommend this is played with 1:10 troop ratio.
Set map draw distances to at least 1500 yrds in SoWGB's Options menu
Set trees to 100% in SoWGB's Options menu.

CREDITS - Pom for his great new buildings and Martin James for his advice on the campaigns. Alessillo for his original Blenheim Mod. Biondo and Mark T for their original maps.

SOWWL CONVERSION - A conversion of the maps for play in SoW Waterloo is also available.

Hi Davinci :)

I'm still around, but we had some health issues in the family. Things hopefully on the mend now, but it may be a while before I reach clear water.

Always good to hear from you.

So,

Dropping back in to pick up these maps and....

Is there some trick to downloading these? I have used dropbox before, but this is different.

Instead of showing as a single download, all the folders are showing up separately.

Weird...I have WinRAR on all the comps, so that's not it.

Thoughts?

AND...

As always, I figured it out immediately after posting.

The "DUH" factor is huge today here at Rancho Crosby....

Hi Jack

Crikey's out of comms atm, so here's a link https://www.dropbox.com/s/wt9bm8er208df ... 7.zip?dl=0

This is the version to use with GB. Hope that's what you're after. The mod has recently been updated, and the advice is to delete any older version before installing this one.

Can I ask you to download it in next few days please, as I am near full capacity on my dropbox.

Thanks Brother,

I wondered if that was the case. The set I have started acting a bit goofy, so I figured something had changed.

Yes, SOWGB is the set I need.
