about the cartoon

so you may find the cartoon is too fast to see clearly and no aiming,firing action,,,just hold a musket then ,,,,er ,,,too quick,,I mean.
So how chage the speed of the cartoon,,,and add aiming pic to make it more real

You can adjust/mod the animation ("cartoon") frames speed through the unitpack.csv file (Timing column) found in the Logistics folder. The 'Fire' frames are identified in the first column.

A word of caution though, adjustments of the fire frames must be compatible with the load and ready frames timing numbers, otherwise CTD will result when engagements occur.

If you haven't, check out my mod B&F. Not only have the firing speeds been adjusted, but also the order of the firing sequences have been changed so the firing set of sprites appear in the 'advance and withdraw while firing' commands. These commands omit the firing sprites set in the stock game.
