SR1 upgrade released February 7th, 2024

This upgrade to SR1 (1:1 sprite to soldier ratio) combines the mods 'Pea Ridge 1862', Crikey's 'Pea Ridge Redux' and the 'Pea Ridge 1862 - True LOS' versions. Disable these mods in Modifications when playing this 'SR1 True LOS' version.

Unzip and copy to the Mods folder (Unzips with 7zip, free download...)

Pea Ridge 1862 - SR1 True LOS

Two SP scenarios are included for each battle along with a sandbox OOB. Four duplicate scenarios provide for carry over options. Four MP scenarios completes the 16 scenario set.

Eight SP scenarios:
PR01-March 7th-McCulloch at Leetown (C-Div)
PR02-March 7th-Osterhaus at Leetown (U-Corps)
PR03-March 7th-Price at Elkhorn Tavern (C-Div)
PR04-March 7th-Carr at Elkhorn Tavern (U-Div)
PR05-March 8th-Battle of Elkhorn Tavern (C-Corps)
PR06-March 8th-Battle of Elkhorn Tavern (U-Corps)
The last two SP scenarios represent an alternative 'What If' battle:
PR07-March 7th-Battle of Little Sugar Creek (C-Corps)
PR08-March 7th-Battle of Little Sugar Creek (U-Corps)

These four scenarios are duplicates of 3-6 but carry over, requiring minimum scores to proceed through the Pea Ridge battle:
PRco03-March 7th-Price at Elkhorn Tavern (C-Div)
PRco04-March 7th-Carr at Elkhorn Tavern (U-Div)
PRco05-March 8th-Battle of Elkhorn Tavern (C-Corps)
PRco06-March 8th-Battle of Elkhorn Tavern (U-Corps)

MP Scenarios:
PR MP01 SR1-March 7th-Pea Ridge, Leetown
PR MP02 SR1-March 7th-Elkhorn Tavern
PR MP03 SR1-March 8th-Battle of Pea Ridge
PR MP04 SR1-March 7th-Battle of Little Sugar Creek

Work on this SR1 mod began in the summer of 2022 but was delayed that September with the announcement of re-releasing x64 versions of the SOW games through Steam. Finally found time a couple of months ago to finish this mod, and just ahead of the 162nd anniversary of this battle -- March 7th and 8th, 1862.

thank you for this mod, I greatly appreciated the scenarios

I think the "realistic battle distances" are very interesting and a good addition to the simulation

I like that map too, so I ask you if there is a "spring/summer" version of it, to use for sandbox etc

SR1 Upgrade...

- The True LOS upgrade established realistic battle distances, this SR1 upgrade now establishes realistic troop numbers.
- Major upgrade of all scenarios. All battlescript files have been rewritten and tested thoroughly along with most maplocations files to make the scenarios more competitive and still winnable. Not to mention correcting the multitude of mistakes I made as a novice modder over a decade ago.
- Since regimental officers are added with SR1 play, 39 new portraits are added -- 11 USA and 28 CSA.
- Change of the carryover scenarios procedure. Now the carryover scenarios are the option, whereas the non-carryover scenarios are the default. For clarification the new write up on post one lists and shows this new procedure with the scenario listings and how the carryover scenarios are renamed.

With SR1 play, this is what a 410 man regiment (4 battalions) looks like.
