Re: SoW Antietam ffd show?
<r>I have no idea what to do with this, but for what it is worth the dialog box says;<br/> <br/> <B><s>[b]</s><I><s>[i]</s>"The application "SOWGB.exe" has made an attempt to load ffdshow.<br/> This dialog is shown because this application is not listed in the ffdshow white list or blacklist.<br/> Y...

Re: SoW Antietam ffd show?
Thanks, but I do not have ffdshow installed. I do not know why the program asks for ffdshow but it presumably has something to do with my SoW Antietam module / installation. Any other ideas appreciated.

Re: Scenario Twenty-Four problem
<t>I am not sure about the Generalship or the luck factor but I must have played this scenario 40+ times. Generally I am beaten about and capitulate when I can see there is no hope. Occasionally I achieve 300-350 points.<br/> Once on a dream run I got to 875 but unfortunately I had not saved that ga...

SoW Antietam ffd show?
<t>Gents,<br/> I have the version 1.61 of Sow and the v150 of Antietam. By my reading of the Matrix website these games are up to date. The Antietam game loads alright but unfortunately the second time I attempted to play a scenario a popup box appeared asking if I want to use ffdshow (once, always,...

Re: Scenario Twenty-Four problem
<r>Is this the ultimate challenge scenario? I am seriously stuck here. <E>:(</E> I have played numerous games where I struggled to hold the second objective and failed to even achieve a positive score by game end. <br/> <br/> The victory timer is frustrating because when it stops counting then the t...

Re: Need help winning Scenario Twenty-One
<t>Thank you gents, finally :cheer: <br/> I played the three combined company variant, and used a combination of threatening aggression alternating with a defensive posture on the high ground behind the wall. I thought the scenario was going to flop yet again when one of my companies(+) managed a me...

Re: Need help winning Scenario Twenty-One
<t>Well, I am completely flummoxed with this battle. I am following the advice as best I can, and can often hold all the objectives but my points max out around 1300 points by game end. I am not getting enough surrenders although I am unsure how to get anymore.<br/> I prefer the option with the thre...

Re: Difficulty with the "We Want Those Guns" scenario
<r>Phew! I finally managed to dominate this scenario after numerous efforts. Typically in the past I would take the Peach Orchard without any problems but would stall for lack of troops and energy at the Wheatfield. Then would come the overwhelming counterattack and my lads would wither away. <E>:(<...

Re: The Bullet is not Molded. . .
<t>Well, for what it's worth I finally got my promotion on this scenario. I left Barlow on the left flank with a "defend" stance, left the artillery in the centre and moved everything else to the fighting on Blochers knoll.<br/> Unfortunately Barlow's men got beaten about a bit which left me with we...

Re: Ward, or Scenario Eight, Strategy
<r>Oh, awesome, I ran the scenario again and held onto the Devils Den the entire time. Fighting forward delayed and distracted the Confederates and meanwhile friendly forces arrived on both my flanks. The entire focus of the battle shifted to a line from the southern slopes of Big Round Top across t...
