Re: Scourge of War Update
Please do something about the horrible interpretation of Napoleonic warfare. The idiocy of my subordinates killed the game for me. The game's concept is brilliant, let down by poor programming. I could give many examples, but one is enough: could never get all those pretty cav to follow charge order...

Re: Promotion and the Stock Scenarios.
Have you tried asking the cavalry on your right for support? I did and they chased off the Prussian horse and pinned much of the infantry in squares which were quickly destroyed. Pretty easy to surround the church then...

Re: I'm considering making a mod
<t>I wonder if it was really that difficult to move a square or that the troop had to be that experienced? There are numerous accounts of 1813 conscript battalions advancing in squares, etc. But we will never really know I suppose. No one today really knows how melees actually played out for example...

Re: I'm considering making a mod
So, I suppose that is the reason for the unfortunate decision that squares can't move? In this instance, I can provide dozens or more examples to the contrary. Interesting discussion...

Re: I'm considering making a mod
Impromptu squares may not have been used prior to the Napoleonic wars, but formal ones certainly were. Diagrams from the Seven Years War show squares with one battalion per face (usually grenadiers) deployed on the flanks of the main infantry lines. How would one code that?

Re: WL08 The Young Guard
<t>I try to clear the village using one brigade and push to the west of that toward the church with the other brigade. Also, you have three batteries (not two) at your command.I bring a couple up to support the left brigade and the other to the hill on the right.<br/> <br/> I've even sent a request ...

Re: AI tutorial
Thanks for this, but I'm having trouble getting through it. The video keeps advancing before I've read everything. Can this be made available as a document?
