Re: Screenshot Thread

A bit of nostalgia from the original game. General Gerard shows that a major victory is possible by frontal assault at Ligny and not resorting to sneak attack. In addition to taking the objective, he clears the 3 Prussian forts and captures the main Prussian battery. https://snipboard.io/lGmsNb.jpg

Re: Grog Gameplay x64

Nice :)

Maybe it is worth pointing out, for players not familiar with mod prioritization, that prioritized below means appearing lower on the list of mods in game. The order of the list is by default alphabetical but can be changed with drag and drop.

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

The game is marketed with the tag line: Scourge of War is the epitome of historical command simulations. In my opinion it should then at least try to simulate how things actually where in the period. That you can get better results against the game by inventing fantasy formations that never were is ...

Re: Scourge of War - Remastered announced

One little concern for me is that these development shots are showing 14-16 FPS?
If that is representative of how the remastered game runs then it would seem to be a decrease in performance instead of the hoped for increase.

Re: Using Mods with 'Steam' Games Question

SOW: Waterloo is delisted on Steam so no workshop functionality is available for the game. The Grog toolbar can be downloaded from the very first post in this thread https://www.norbsoftdev.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=68686 It can then be activated using the in game mod manager like any other. Sorry,...

Found some of my old screen shots. This is a development image from the uncompleted Corunna project.

Re: Map scaling

I don't know if it helps, but when I was trying to learn how to build a custom map I found out that it is the height.tga file that determines the size of the map in game. It is 0.01 miles per pixel, so a 512x512px file will produce a 5x5 mile map.

Re: Expanded Toolbar - Grog

Reb, something else I just thought of, limiting each battalion to 1 skirmisher unit is likely to mess with some scripted actions in some scenarios. Off the top of my head "The Emperors plan" is an obvious one because before the scenario even starts, your leading battalion splits off 3 ski...
