Although nothing is set in stone, right now it's looking like an activated demo.

You can download the game anywhere and activate it with a registration code that you buy. So you never have to worry about not being able to get the game.

I believe it had to do with the "Scourge" of Helium addiction that ran rampant through the Union army during this time.

Which explains the use of "Scourge" in "Scourge of War" . . . it's a little known fact that the Battle Of Gettysburg was not fought over the Confederate army's need for footwear, but instead their wanting to corner the lucrative helium market to help finance their war efforts . . .

It's also where the phrase; "Let's get high." originated. I'm surprised more people aren't aware of this.

*NOTE* Kudos to Norm and gang for paying homage to historical accuracy by including this in their game. I must say, the visual representation of this little known fact, is superb . . . but I digress . . . .

Luckily for the Union army, a quick-thinking officer solved this "scourge" by loading his men's pants with musket balls. The added weight brought everyone back down to the ground . . .

This historical fact wasn't discovered until the 1960's, culminating in the use of the phrase; "You're really bringing me down." first coined during the infamous Civil War re-enactment called "Woodstock". This re-enactment was so "real", everyone attending decided to "get high" and forgo bathing during the entire celebration. Which leads us to the origination of the phrase; "Let's get real." . . but I digress even further . . .

Around this time, people also began hearing the phrase; "Dropping a load". Explained by the fact Union soldiers had to first "drop their load" of musket balls before continuing on with their business when nature called.

As you can probably tell, my American History college professors were "amazed" at my knowledge of both the American Civil War and expertise on the origins of many of today's popular sayings . . . They told me my work was "Fantastic", which explains all the F's on my grade card. '

:woohoo:
This is a riot.. Are you a parody writer or something?

hehe I had a lot of practice over the years, while moderating at the Total War forums. Whenever I had to moderate someone's post, I used humor instead of harsh words to get them to change their behavior. It worked well for me, but it may have backfired later since I believe some repeat offenders wanted to see what I could come up with next.

Elmo you forgot to add that the single largest problem with Levitating units was the damage they caused to their own side upon combustion during the hot summer months. With the added musket balls to hold the men down the damage caused was tremendous. This is where the idea for scatter shot and shrapnel came from ;)

Eazy! Good to see you again. How are the rest of my brothers in the Naked Fanatics clan doing? I will have to drop by and say; "Hi" soon.

PS: You need to get the guys over here and check this game out. I played the previous games in the series and loved them. Best part about this game is it will finally have multiplayer! :) Then my men can rout off the field of battle, happily screaming like little school girls once again!

Sigh! I had a nice long response to your question Eazy, but unfortunately it was lost when I hit the submit button. I don't have the heart to try and recreate it, but let's just say my men still have their Nike contract. :) About 30 minutes worth of thought down the drain . . it's darn hard work trying to be humorous . . . one of these days I might just try it! :)

I HATE when that happens, but I haven't had it happen to me here yet. How do you usually reply, quick reply or reply?

I normally use reply, but I have had problems with this PC remembering passwords and such . . might be a virus, so that may be the reason I lost the post. I am reformatting once my wife and kids remove their important pics and files, so that should take care of a lot . . . I hope! :)
