Sounds like there's still some work to do in MP!

Also, does the game notify you that a player has left. Personally I'd be a bit annoyed to discover I'd been playing against AI without notice.

Anyway please keep up the good work y'all

cheers Chris
As far as I was concerned it was a perfect MP game. The crashing wasn't due to the MP portion of the game but to the scenario itself which has been fixed so it is playable. As for people dropping out, it has to do with their connection to the game not the MP itself. Are many variables to how strong your connection to a MP game are. Does your service providers router hiccup and cause you to loose connection, was there a surge somewhere that send trash along with your data packets that drops you?

There are stars in a vertical line along the right edge of your screen that are 2 different colors that let you know that you are connected and how many others are that will tell you if you are playing against the AI or not, but I get so immersed in the games themselves that I usually totally missed them disappearing plus the AI is strong enough that it will beat you senseless if you let it.

War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.

Unless I'm mistaken, the human players were all on one team against the AI. I've found in some games that computer (programs) updates of one form or another will cause crashes.

I'm sorry I gave the impression that everyone was on one side. It was actually split 3 on each side. I only reported those on my own side because honestly I couldn't remember what the other sides players brigades were. So it was 3 Union vs 3 Confererate for both the games we played. There is nothing on the screen that indicates to you whether the units you are facing are commanded by the AI or a human player.

If I loose my internet connection to the game, can I rejoin that game in progress when I get it back?

No, you cannot join a game in progress.

I tweeted after the first game which did run perfectly. But I spoke too soon :(

The second game got out of sync when we were about 30 minutes in I think.

Is there a way to make it so you are still in the game if you loose connection? Maybe for the 1st Patch. All that would happen is the game would revert to AI for the amount of down time you have, then it would pick up again when your internet connection regained.

I don't think it would be too fun if internet connection just kept on going out.

Actually you remain in the game, but it drops you to single player mode so you can continue the scenario. You are just on your own against the AI.

Never fear HtS, Norb the Superb's AI will be fightin' in your stead. :woohoo:

I've been testing MP for about 4 months, and only got bumped once.
