Download Only>?

Post by CheathamHill »

Is this going to be a download only or will I be able to enjoy having my hands on an actual box with artwork and a disc(s) with a manual?

Thanks...

I remember Norb saying there will be an option for both....I may be mistaken though.

I believe he said a boxed version may follow the original download only release depending on sales.
You can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

Which brings up this question: If I download and then unload the game for whatever reason (changed computers, et.al.) and then download again, will the new download have any patches already installed (presuming there is one)?

There will be patches, because we have more content that we want to include that we just don't have time for now.

I'm not sure how we'll do it yet. But it won't be hard to find.

I would think a later release of the game would have the previous patches included, otherwise, you'd have to repatch to the new computer IMO.

"Technology causes paramoia!" Didn't some world-famous philosopher say that? If he didn't, he sure should have! Hell, I'm losing sleep wondering if I will be able to move TC2M CMP3 to the new computer...don't remember where I found it or how I downloaded it to this computer!!! Humph!

That's another advantage of having the game downloadable. With a CD, there's always the chance you can lose it or it gets scratched up. With download, it will always be available to you.. New computer, computer crash, house fire, etc..
