Do you know what units were against each other? It could have been that you sent a tired, demoralized brigade against a well rested, confident regiment. There are lots of factors that could lead a regiment to beat a brigade. Actually, one of Pettigrew's regiments is the size of a small brigade.
Also, we rebs can beat four Yanks at a time, even if they aren't tired. B)
