Computer questions

Post by Ephrum »

I wasn't sure which Topic was best suited for my questions, so I thought to try it here.

I'm not computer savvy, but I wanted to ask; The SOWGB system requirements on the homepage mentions "no shared memory". Is that in regards to the Hard Drive?

And would it be possible to put both TC2M and SOWGB on the same computer, or would it be better to keep them on separate machines?

I'm not computer savvy either but here goes,

1) Video card should NOT be on board, but should be seperate, no shared memory ( but I'm running the games on a laptop without problems.)

2)I have Gettysburg, TC2M and Rebels N' Redcoats on the same computer.

It means that your CPU and your graphics card can't use the same memory. Normally if you have a graphics card that is a part of the motherboard itself, then you are using shared memory. Havng a separate graphics card with it's own memory be it 128MB or higher will be best. The higher the amount of memory on both the graphics card and in the RAM the better.
War is cruelty. There is no use trying to reform it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over.

Sherman, December 1863, remark to a Tennessee woman.
