The NSD Music Place

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

:woohoo: With my birthday just 2 days away.......last night my lady gave me an early present, which I already knew she got for me 'cause I asked for it in advance :) .......the Grateful Dead's 3 night run at the old Winterland Arena in San Francisco....Nov. 9, 10 & 11, 1973.......with a bonus disc from the Cincinatti Gardens Dec. 4, '73........talk about AWESOME!!!

I had the 3rd show of the run ( the 11th) on cassette a few years ago......and I popped it in the PC cd player last night :cheer: ......what memories!

It all came in the beautifully packaged "tye-dyed box set", with a booklet of photo's from the 3 night run and an old "Good 'ol Grateful Dead" button.....like I had so many years ago.:cheer:

I am a very very happy DEADHEAD this birthday.:)

Anything but RAP! Man that 'aspirin-requiring' stuff is annoying!
OK i'll admit it, i'm an older fart than i thought! Never heard of most of those bands 'n songs posted in this thread.
Amish John, looks like we gotta keep these kids in line! B)
and finally......the Mighty ZEPPELIN!:
Now you're talking JC! Seen em in concert back during their heyday breaking their geetars..great stuff!

Not in any particular order:
Hank Williams JR.
anything Eric Clapton
anything Joe Walsh
Cream
Spencer Davis
Doobies
Hendrix
White snake
Steppenwolf
Def leopard
Metallica
Black Sabboth
Deep Purple
Aerosmith
Eagles
America
and for complete relaxation, the real 'long-haired' stuff like Strauss
.

Def Leopard had some good songs back when I was in high school. Pour some sugar on me was one that I liked. Heard some song on the radio, I wanna be a Rock Star, it's a new song by some unknown girl, but I liked it. I also like some Eminem stuff, most of it's too rough for my taste, but there's a lot that I like. Just read the Mick Wall book on Axl, very interesting. What a fool, threw it all away.

There's only a handful of songs i like from Def leopard and Whitesnake but they were good enough ones for me to buy the albums. Don't ask me the names of those good songs, i only know em when i hear em. Ugh, i sometimes can't even remember what i had for breakfast!

It's the unauthorized biography of Axl Rose. Mick has the dubious honor of being mentioned in the song, Get In the Ring. It's basically a history of the band and what happened and where it is now.
